Crusher Bucket Jaws & Plates: Extending Life by Reversing

← Back to Blog

Crusher buckets break stones by compressing them between **Jaws**. These jaws and side liners wear out over time, reducing the crusher's capacity.

1. Reversing Jaws

In crusher buckets, wear mostly occurs at the bottom part (discharge opening) of the jaws. The upper parts wear less.

  • Tactic: When jaws wear down to a certain extent, remove them and install them upside down (reversed). This extends the jaw life by 100%.

2. Side Liners

Liners protecting the side walls of the bucket must be replaced when they become thin. Otherwise, the main chassis of the bucket wears out, causing irreparable damage.

3. Compatible Brands

HKM manufactures 18-22% Manganese alloy jaws for MB Crusher, BF series, and other popular crusher bucket brands.
