Your Breaker's HKM Match
Pick the brand and model of your breaker and see the technical values side by side. 801 models from 38 brands can be compared.

How is the match calculated?
No single number decides which class a breaker belongs to. That is why we evaluate six measures together and give each one a share proportional to how much it defines the class.
Looking only at carrier tonnage is a common shortcut, but it misleads: two breakers in the same tonnage band can differ widely in impact energy and tool diameter, so they do not do the same work.
| Measure | Share | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Operating weight | %35 | The operating weight of the breaker is the most direct indicator of its impact energy class. |
| Carrier weight | %25 | The compatibility condition; if it does not hold, the other measures are moot. |
| Tool diameter | %15 | Tool diameter shows which material the breaker attacks and with what energy. |
| Oil flow | %15 | The flow your machine can deliver decides whether the breaker actually works. |
| Operating pressure | %5 | It runs close across brands, so its discriminating power is low. |
| Blow rate | %5 | Blow rate moves inversely to energy; taken alone it misleads. |
Results are ordered from the highest match down and each card carries a match percentage. When the match is not good enough we say there is no equivalent rather than forcing one.
Frequently asked
Is this a list of replacement copies?
No. A replacement copy is a part built to stand in for another one to one. What happens here is different: we determine the technical class of your breaker and show the models of our own design that fall in the same class. HKM has built its own breakers since 1985; they are a copy of nobody.
What does the match percentage mean?
It is the weighted average of proportional closeness across the six measures. 100 percent means identical values; in practice above 90 percent means the two breakers will do the same work. At lower percentages the comparison table shows you which measure the difference comes from.
Why are the values of my own breaker shown here?
So that you can compare. These values are compiled from the publicly available catalogues of the manufacturers, have not been measured by HKM and are not binding on us. For exact values consult the current documentation of your own manufacturer.
What should I do if no equivalent is found?
The class of your model may fall outside the HKM range; this happens at the smallest and largest ends. Send us your machine tonnage and your breaker values and we will work out the right solution together.
