Buyer Journey
From first contact to after-sales support: the 9 steps of buying an attachment from HKM. What you do, what we do and which documents are prepared at every stage, transparent from start to finish.
- 1
First contact & needs analysis
1-2 business daysYou reach us via the web form, e-mail or WhatsApp. Two pieces of information are enough for the right model recommendation: your carrier machine (brand, model, service weight) and the job you will do (demolition, quarrying, excavation, tunnelling…).
You
- Share your carrier brand/model/tonnage
- Describe your application and working conditions
- State your delivery country and target timeline
HKM
- Recommends the class and model for your application
- Plans the tool (chisel) type and spare parts needs
- Answers your technical questions quickly
- 2
Quotation & proforma invoice
1-3 business daysOnce the model is clear, you receive our quotation with price, delivery term (Incoterm), estimated lead time and validity. Upon your approval, a proforma invoice is issued with the payment plan and bank details.
You
- Review the quotation and delivery term
- Send your company and customs details (tax no / EORI)
- Approve the proforma in writing
HKM
- Quotes a clear price with Incoterm options

You
- Follow production status via our export team if you wish
HKM

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take from order to delivery?
Three components decide it: production (1-3 weeks depending on the model if not in stock), transport (~5-8 days by road to Central Europe, ~12-20 days by sea to the Gulf) and import clearance at destination. We give you a firm timeline for your order at the proforma stage.
Can I visit your factory?
Of course, we would be glad to host you at our production facility in Ümraniye, Istanbul. Just plan a date with our export team; you can see production, testing and stock areas on site.
Can I follow the production process?
Yes. An estimated flow is shared with your order confirmation; our export team updates you at key milestones (production complete, testing, loading), and loading is documented with photos.
What happens if there is transport damage?
Inspect the packaging before unloading; if there is visible damage, note it on the transport document, photograph it and notify us the same day. Insurance coverage follows the chosen delivery term; we run the process together.
Who handles customs clearance?
Export clearance and the document set are on HKM. Import clearance in the destination country is generally the buyer’s organization depending on the delivery term (including DAP); we support your broker with the HS code and documents.
Who commissions the breaker?
Breakers ship with detailed installation and setting instructions; a competent hydraulic technician can connect the hydraulic lines and check the nitrogen charge. In countries with a distributor, commissioning is supported by local service, and we provide remote technical support when needed.
How do spare parts and service work afterwards?
We ship quickly worldwide from a broad parts stock covering every brand and model; our online store is also available for chisels and consumables. For technical questions, our export team and service staff support you via e-mail/WhatsApp.
